Masashi Ando’s directorial debut is an epic fantasy about Van, the  leader of a band of death warriors who is enslaved in a salt mine. One night, savage dogs attack the mine and a mysterious disease wipes out both the slaves and their keepers. Van escapes with a little girl called Yuna and sets out to discover the source of the disease.
